My Journey in the “Digital Space” is as below
In 1997, I started making designs using CorelDraw and Photoshop. Thank you to Karl Gomes.
In 1998, I started with web analytics, web friendly designing, technologies and development to service client. Thank you Prabir
In 2000, I move to domains, hosting, open source, SEO and web designing. Luckily, I was not affected by Dot Com Burst. Thank you Prashant
In 2003, I already was working on AdWords and Overture (later called as Yahoo Advertising). Thank you Navraj
In 2004, I started my small firm named “Searchize” offering search engine marketing and Email marketing. I also started offering “web analytics” services using “ClickTracks”. Thanks to Dell, Ramani, Brad, Michael, Santosh and many more.
In 2005, I joined Pinstorm as a consultant and pioneered “Pay-on-Performance” SEM services. My favorite line was “Seven at One Go”. Thank you Mahesh Murthy.
In 2006, I was introduced to “click-arbitrage”. An exciting time to understand real-time bidding and real-time revenue. Thanks to Paul and Ravi.
In 2007, I launched a hybrid Ad-network called ÄdChakra. In the process of launching the Ad-network, I used following Ad-Exchanges: Adify, OpenX and Right Media. Social media optimization was first started then by my agency “Percept Knorigin” for an F1 team then. Thanks to Viraj, Marc, Salim, Kristina and many more.
In 2008, I started offering performance across digital channels be in SEM, SEO, Ad-Network and E-mail. Thank you Jaish, Kushark, Harsh and many more.
In 2010, Set-up e-commerce analytics and re-marketing campaign for “Kingfisher Airlines”. Thank you Deepak, Avinash, Manoj and many more.
In 2011, I launched “Affiliate Management Platform” across all digital channels including meta search engine, social and affiliate partners when I was in Kingfisher Airlines. Thank you KF tech team and Harsha.
In 2012, I first heard about programmatic media buying.
In 2013, I started again my agency life with “Resultrix” and offered not only performance but also launched client products and brand campaigns. I have worked on all paid media platforms and technology that helps to deliver performance to clients. Thank you Gulrez, Shibu and everyone.
In 2014, I started working with Publicis Groupe’s trading desk Audience-on-Demand (AOD) for couple of clients. Thank you Sumant and many more.
In 2015, I am already working on RTB with a data scientist, media planner and campaign manager. And my journey goes on!
